Hirth Couplings

The widely applied Hirthtoothings allow highly precise coupling of shafts, wheels and cranks due to their self-centering dome toothing. It is especially used in indexing tables of machine tools, where it combines highest positioning accuraccy with transmission of high torques due to the mechanical closure.

ZZ has required long experience in milling of Hirthtoothings. Actually, we have upgrated our coordinate grinding machine Kehren Ri6-4 for highly precise grinding of Hirthtoothings.
